Introducing… The Red Jacket Dispatch

Hello all! I come here today with an exciting announcement. Inspired by the 265 challenge I did with my graphic design instagram page last year, I have invented an entirely new challenge for myself for 2026 (besides the whole getting my book published thing). I’ve created The Red Jacket Dispatch. This will be a weekly “newsletter” of sorts, sent directly to your email. Each Thursday you will get a brand new original short story from myself. Whether it’s a one of little story, or scary little piece of flash fiction, something will show up in your inbox every single week.

There are a few reasons behind this idea. The biggest one is that I’ve learned I work best under pressure. This challenge will serve to inspire me to continue to write, without taking breaks. It will force me through any sort of writer’s block I may find myself in. After all, there is only one thing you must absolutely do in order to call yourself a writer of any sort… write.

The second reason for this is to begin to try to get a following of some sort. I realize that in order to give myself the best chance at finding an agent, publisher, etc, I need to be marketable. I can’t expect to sell a novel based on this face alone, so this is my way of sharing my work, and hopefully you all enjoy it and pass it along to others. Ultimately, I hope to write stories that you love so much, you feel the need to send them to a friend, family member, co-worker, or a neighbor.

This is the beginning of something really fun, I think. I look forward to a productive and exciting 2026.
